18 Companies Sever Ties With Rapper, Diddy's Empower Global

POSTED ON December 13, 2023 •   Celebrity Gossips      BY Ebiakuboere England

Due to several accusations of sexual assault against the troubled American singer Sean Combs, better known by his stage name Diddy, eighteen companies have severed their ties with Empower Global.

Rolling Stone Magazine received confirmation from the companies on Sunday.

18 Companies Sever Ties With Rapper, Diddy's Empower Global

Founder of luxury bag, eyewear, and apparel company House of Takura, Annette Njau, said, “We take the allegations against Mr. Combs seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable. We believe and support victims’ rights, even against the most powerful of people.”

Rolling Stone reports that a total of eighteen brands have severed their connection with Diddy's Empower Global, which was established in 2021.

Other businesses that have left Diddy's company include Baby Donna, Fulaba, a jewelry label, Tsuri, a skincare brand, a footwear line, and Rebecca Allen.

The announcement coincided with the filing of a fourth lawsuit against the singer, brought by Jane Doe, who claimed that, at the age of 17, she was gang raped and sex trafficked in 2003 by Diddy, Harve Pierre, the president of Bad Boy Records, and another man.

Recall that Diddy, who co-founded the media company Revolt TV, resigned from his position as chairman in November.

In May 2017, Cindy Ruela, who previously served as Combs' personal chef, filed a lawsuit against Combs in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming, among other things, sexual harassment and retaliation. The lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed amount in February 2019.

On November 17, 2023, Combs' former partner Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse.

Combs and Ventura reached an undisclosed settlement the following day, and the lawsuit was dismissed. On November 23, 2023, two further lawsuits were filed against Combs by two additional complainants, alleging sexual assault and revenge porn.
